Introduction

In today’s digital workplace, office workers must go beyond traditional paper records and embrace electronic records. This training introduces office workers to managing digital records and keeping them safe. It also covers how to properly name, store, and find digital files, as well as implementing simple cybersecurity tips like avoiding suspicious emails and other cyber threats. The topic will also help staff stay organized and protect office information from loss or misuse.

  2. File Naming and Tagging Documents for easy Filing and retrieval.
  3. Malware (Viruses, Ransomware, Spyware): How they work, their impact, and common infection vectors.
  4. Insider Threats-Accidental or malicious actions by employees.
  5. The Human Element- employees (if not trained) the weakest link.
  6. Characteristics of strong passwords (length, complexity, uniqueness).
  7. Email Security: Identifying and reporting phishing emails.
  8. Caution with attachments and links from unknown senders.
  9. Recognizing secure websites.
  10. Avoiding suspicious pop-ups and downloads.
  11. Physical Security of Devices: Securing laptops, phones, and documents at home.
